One of LAMP's long term goals has been to create an auction site that would compliment the Movie Poster Data Base by offering an auction venue that could be utilized by our LAMP dealers -- dealers who must qualify to list based on their acceptance of a No Misrepresentation Agreement. J.R., the creator of Movie Poster Bid ("MPB"), had a similar vision -- and this is why we have decided to join forces.

As we went through the MPB, we were ecstatic to learn that JR had incorporated a lot of the features that we wanted to include in a LAMP auction. First we wanted an auction that ONLY HANDLED MOVIE POSTERS....... Then we wanted features such as:

For Sellers:

being able to set both start time and end time;
being able to hold and relist at a later date;
being able to talk to someone if there's a problem;
categories that were more poster collector oriented;
having an intermediate place to resolve differences;
no worry about vindictive feedback; and
easier forms to fill out

For Buyers:

not having to worry about unknown dealers;
having an intermediate place to resolve differences;
categories that were more poster collector oriented;
not having to worry about reprints in original categories;
no worry about vindictive feedback; and
LAMP dealers identified.
