ASHLEY- ANNIVERSARY- AUGUST
3A LAMP SPECIAL

Just like the Sutherland family has changed, so has LAMP. We will celebrate the first anniversary of our LAMP Movie Poster Data Base on September 1st. The number of visitors coming to our site now exceeds 100,000 a month. Our Data Base also has over 88,000 movie titles, 26,000 images and around 8,000 posters for sale. To mark this milestone, we are planning to introduce new rates for both the Dealer and Ad Sponsor Programs. (Yes, they are going up!)

But in honor of Ashley and our upcoming anniversary celebration, we are giving EVERYONE a last opportunity to get the "Deal of the Century." LAMP is growing, and we plan to continue adding new programs for our dealers, such as the new Movie Poster Bid Free Listing Program available to LAMP dealers only. So, if you ever considered getting on the bandwagon, NOW IS THE TIME.

CINEMA RETRO: the Essential Guide to Cult and Classic Movies is a new 64-page full colour magazine devoted to those great films of the 60’s and 70’s. CINEMA RETRO will launch in the fall of 2004. Each issue will be a limited edition collector’s item and will not be sold on newsstands. This is not an amateur fan magazine. Rather, it is written by recognised writers in the field of film criticism as well as from the vantage point of the actors, producers, directors and technicians who were a part of this wonderful era of film making. You will find insightful and fun articles regarding classic and cult movies, in-depth interviews and some of the rarest photos imaginable. A Lucky Day for Movie Poster Collectors

The Cinema Trade's
Major Auction

Fred Sliman of The Cinema Trade has announced his "Mini-Major" auction which will begin on Friday, August 13th on the only auction venue designed by movie poster collectors for movie poster collectors:

This auction will feature great titles, genres and stars: Horror, Sci-Fi, Noir, Music, Cult, Biker, Drive-In, as well as some of the most popular and collected titles of the last 40 plus years. Collectors of Eastwood, McQueen, Monroe, Bogart, Hitchcock, Fellini, Wayne, Cassavetes and Brando will want to take a look. So will those who collect horror (AIP, Hammer, etc.) and the great Black Action era of the 1970s.

The auction contains 328 lots. The tentative plan is to present it in thirds, with two weeks in between so that they may expedite orders without getting backlogged. The first 110 titles are set to debut beginning on August 13 - 15 on Movie Poster Bid.
