Majestic was formed in 1910 by Harry
Aitken to handle the overflow production of his primary studio,
which was American Film Manufacturing Company.
The distribution of the films were handled
by 'the Sales Company' which was the early Carl Laemmle distribution
company before he formed Universal.
In 1913, Aitken merged Majestic with Reliance Films to form Reliance-Majestic.
In 1914, Majestic was combined with several other
production companies to became part of Mutual
Film Corporation.
