In 1934, Max and Arthur Alexander
created Beacon Pictures from their original Normandy Pictures, which
turned out several films during 1934-1935, including "I Can't
Escape" starring Lila Lee and Onslow Stevens, "Thunder Over
Texas" starring Guinn "Big Boy" Williams, and "What
Price Crime?" starring Charles Starret.
They closed their doors in 1936 and
opened Colony Pictures.
