WELCOME TO OUR
NEWEST SPONSOR

We want to welcome our newest sponsor:

Movie Poster Service - Movie Poster Service has the oldest and largest collection of movie posters in the world. In 1973, Cleophas Wooley purchased the first independent poster exchange in the nation from his then father-in-law, Bob Smith, who started the exchange. Cleophas changed the name to Movie Poster Service, and he and his new wife Lou Ann continued to serve theaters for many years. As the theater play dates changed, and collector appreciation increased, Movie Poster Service became collector oriented, offering over one million pieces of the best condition movie posters, lobby cards, pressbooks, and other movie memorabilia in the world today. For more information, check out their website HERE.

TOP SELLING POSTERS OF ALL TIME

Think you know the top selling movie posters of all time? Test your knowledge against the extensive list that LAMP has compiled of the top selling posters based on verifiable sources such as the top auction houses.

How does our list differ from others that have been compiled? Well we didn't just stop at the top 100 or even 500. In fact, our list includes posters that sold for $5,000 and up.

JUST HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW ... GODZILLA

What is Godzilla's real name? Was Raymond Burr in the first Godzilla film? Which monsters made their debut in a Godzilla film? Who was the director of the first Godzilla film?

These and other important questions are answered in our newest LAMP article: Godzilla. As part of our Legends Series, we take an in-depth look at this Japanese phenom, untangling the many international releases where misidentification was common due to language barriers.

Get to know your favorite "giant lizard" by visiting the new Godzilla article HERE.

OUR HURRICANE
KATRINA ORDEAL

As many of you know, we were directly impacted by Hurricane Katrina. We live in Gretna, LA, a suburb of New Orleans. We were forced to evacuate the area and returned about 10 days ago to our community.

During this time, the LAMP website continued as usual -- with the exceptions that we could not update the site and were unable to answer a lot of emails. Although we are still not able to return to our home due to storm damage, we have set up our operations at our daughter's house and you will be seeing new updates to LAMP immediately.

For a complete update on our experience and status, click HERE.
