Thanhouser Film Preservation - Edwin W. "Ned" Thanhouser is the grandson of founders Gertrude and Edwin Thanhouser of Thanhouser Company. Ned has been actively involved in research, acquisition, preservation and publication of early silent motion picture materials. Working with film archives and private collectors, Ned has producedVHS tapes and a DVD disc containing 26 surviving Thanhouser films making these rare titles available to researchers, scholars and film lovers after almost 90 years since they were last seen by the general public. Tough Guys Movie Posters - Ed has been collecting movie posters and memorabilia on and off for about 34 years gathering all types of material.. BUT he developed a special love for the 'tough guys'. Ed is in the process of developing 'tribute' sites to his favorites.. John Wayne, Clint Eastwood and Steve McQueen. But just because Ed specializes in tough guy movie posters, it doesn't mean that he doesn't have other genres of posters. Ed has an excellent selection of ALL TYPES. Total Images: Total No. of Unique Images

Items for Sale: Total of all items- archived and non archived.

Visitors for the Week: Total No. of visitors.

March 2006 Rare Movie Poster Signature Auction
Tops $1.4 Million Sold

Heritage Auction Galleries held their latest Vintage Movie Poster Signature Auction on Friday and Saturday, March 18 & 19, 2006, in Dallas, Texas. 1,003 lots were offered, with total prices realized exceeding $1.4 million. Over 1100 bidders participated in which almost 250 were successful.

The star of the show was the ultra-rare one sheet for the Mickey Mouse short, The Mad Doctor, which realized a staggering $138,000, against our pre-auction estimate of $60,000 - $80,000.
