After numerous filming trips to the Czech Republic, Terry Gilliam, of Monty Python fame, met with owners Aero and Svetozor cinemas and agreed to lend his name to the formation of a new shop located in the lobby of the Svetozor Cinema, in Prague. Terry has become the 'Godfather' of the shop.
Since the ceremonial opening in November 2005 by Terry Gilliam, shown on the left at the opening, Terry Posters has become the largest and most famous film collector shop in the Czech Republic with more than 8000 original posters. They also have the largest selection of Czech posters online!
Terry Posters, managed by Union Film, specializes in original Czech film posters from the 1950s until current, as well as DVD's, T-shirts, postcards and other film material such as books and magazines.
Terry Posters also promotes exhibits and film festivals in the ongoing attempt to expand cultural awareness in the Czech Republic.
