Baton Rouge Film History Exhibit
Opens Oct. 23, 2013
We created a small exhibit for the Louisiana section of the State Library of Louisiana (5th floor) in Baton Rouge that consisted of 3 glass tables. Two tables covered the major films made in Baton Rouge beginning in 1917 through 2000 and the third table covered Plantation films from the Baton Rouge surrounding area.

We are scheduled for a medium size exhibit for the theater waiting room that specializes in films made on the North Shore and classics. We will be giving a lecture on Saturday (9th) at 5:45 on Louisiana Film History.

New Travelling Exhibit Unveiled
We unveiled a new flexable travelling exhibit at the Lake Charles Film Festival (Oct. 4-5). The new exhibit consists of 14 3'x4' storyboards covering Louisiana Film History. A varying amount of original material can be placed between each storyboard depending upon the space available for the exhibit.
We were given a large gymnasium style room for the exhibit. Here is a photo of 3 of the storyboards with original movie posters between on the tables provided.

First state exhibit on Louisiana Film History
While there was a major exhibit in 1987 on films made in Louisiana, it was a collection by genre with no historical timeline or information.
Nicholls State University
Feb. 4-June 21, 2013
We presented the first state exhibit on Louisiana Film History at the Ellender Memorial Library at Nicholls State University from Feb. 4 - June 21, 2013. The exhibit consisted of 27 glass cases (47x96) in chronoligical order covering all time periods starting from 1896 - 2010. Along with the historical information were 100 original posters with some from each time period. We also had 6 glass tables showing the following genre: Mardi Gras; Sports; Music; Plantations; Voodoo; and Swamp/Cajun. In addition, we had 50 vintage movie trailers from old Louisiana films being shown in the exhibit room.
