Paul's first encounter with movie posters as collectibles
came in 1975. Upon visiting a friend in San Francisco, he noticed a
number of movie posters on his walls -- an original Dracula insert;
a King Kong insert; and a Wolfman one sheet just to name
a few. Upon learning their worth, Paul's only comment was: "Who would
pay that amount for a piece of paper!" Time and a bite from the
collecting bug would soon answer this question for Paul.
Upon his return home to Atlanta, Paul found himself
in a flea market, purchasing 500 movie posters for $250.00. From that
moment on, Paul became a collector and a dealer -- and Posterworld was
born.
Paul has since moved to New Jersey and has been
operating Posterworld strictly as a mail order business. Posterworld
offers all sizes of movie paper up to and including three sheets, primarily
for films released during the period 1940-1975. Horror and Sci-Fi titles
from the 1950's and 1960's are Posterworld specialties.
