The
first 'talkie' was Al Jolson's the Jazz Singer in 1927. This film
made such an impact that studios rushed to convert equipment to be
able to produce this new phenomenon.

To make it easier, we've grouped ALL films before 1930 into this section,
since full length movies at that time were only a couple of reels.
This will include shorts, serials and documentaries. From 1927 thru
1929 the movies are listed here and in the main movie section.
