We have a batch of left over REPRODUCTION draft scripts from when we closed our retail store. Not familiar with draft scripts??? Let me explain... they're actually pretty cool. Where we live, there are several colleges with film departments. We brought these in to help students who were trying to learn HOW to write scripts. Most of the scripts that we had were as early a draft as possible. WHY, you might ask?
The earlier the draft, the bigger the difference in how the film actually finished. The students liked them because with different drafts, you could then see the evolution of the script writing process. We liked them because you could see the early ideas, more explanations and a LOT of things that were cut out of the final film. Sometimes in the editing, scenes are cut that make a BIG difference in the film. Take, for example, the script on Spawn. They cut out a huge section of explanations that really helped us understand some of the things that were going on.
These draft scripts are fun and a quick read. We know that we enjoyed them. When we had our store, we carried 800-1000 titles. We know that we don't have all of those titles but we do have quite a few. Some of them we have several copies and some we only have a single copy and that's it.
