The
first 2 digits is 41 then a slash and this number. In 1941 some
of the oddities continued with an additional number put on the
year. We've interviewed NSS managers but none were able to tell
us WHY they did this. NOTICE: the additional number stopped in
the upper 200s which would have been about the middle of the year.
NOTICE: In the first years, reissues were NOT marked in the number
because NSS didn't issue the original release... they started
putting the R when it was a reissue of title in THEIR system.
