For movie posters and accessories:
MoviePosterDataBase.com - we have the only cross-referenced research film accessory database on the internet. We are building a digital repository for film accessories and are constantly adding more information. We currently have over 90,000 poster images online and searchable from 1000s of parimeters.
For simple searches - simply put the film title or a keyword out of the title in the search bar. Over 190,000 film titles are in the database. Files with images are marked with country of origin; aka's; reissues; production and distribution companies; and more. Images are arranged by U.S. first then alphabetical by country. Click on specific thumbnail images for more details about the specific poster.
Hi-res images - we currently have a little over 20,000 in the database. Once logged in, a link will appear below the regular poster image if a hi-res image is available on that specific image. We also have a hi-res image search engine where you can search by country, genre, type, and more.
Advanced Searches - we have 2 types of advanced search engines.
Movie Search - this search is for film titles and can be sorted by year; country; studio or genre
Poster Search - this search is for specific types of posters and can be sorted by year; country; poster type; poster size; poster artist; printer or lithographer; or poster markings, such as censorship marks like Japanese Eiren marks; French Visa de Censure marks; or Dutch Filmkeuring marks.
We have access to approximately 4 million poster images. If you are a member and do not see images for the title you are looking for, please email and we will gladly search through and put the images we have available online for you.
If you are not a member, you can contact us direct. There is a research charge for any images provided. OR, if you are accessing this through a participating library, you can ask the librarian to request the material for you. Any additional charges then depends on the library.
For movie stills:
Stills and Image Archive - (NOT ONLINE YET) this is a new section being added on. We have over 100,000 pre-1960 stills being added to the database. We have approximately 40,000 that are in the initial addition stage. We have a list of the images being added.
If the images from this list are not online yet, please email us and we will gladly make the images available to you.
