Not to be confusing, Alexandra Palace was
a well known area for all types of activities such as circus and exhibits
during the 1880s and forward.....
Alexandra Palace (the studio) was located
at Muswell Hill, Haringey in London was established in 1912 from a converted
skating rink. It was owned by Union
Film Publishing who were subsidiaries of Pathe.
Film production was made here and released under the name of Big
Ben until 1915 when the government confiscated the building.
The building was used to hold refugees and
prisoners until it burned down in 1916.
