To
help promote a particular movie, studios authorize the distribution
of printed tickets (invitations) to a special screening or premiere
of a film which are usually given away through radio stations. These
tickets vary in size and look. Some are quite elaborate, showing the
one sheet or special artwork on the back with the particular theater
and times on the front, while others are real plain with a studio
logo and generic times on the front.
They are normally
taken at the theater and sent to the studios for credit.
