DOOR PANELS

Door panels were a very specialized advertising tool, normally released for major productions or special theatre runs. They were issued alone or in a set of posters. They normally contained their own unique artwork, normally featuring characters, and measured 20" x 60". They were primarily used for display on theatre entrance doors. They were printed on both card and paper stock.

The sample below is a set of five door panels issued for the 1950 movie All About Eve. The artwork features the five main characters in the film.

The following sample is from the 1973 animated Disney film Robin Hood.

Door panels are rarely used today.
