A ghost poster is a poster shown in
a movie of another movie that is not a real movie poster. Can you say that
5 times fast!
There have been several movies that contained scenes
showing posters of fictional movies, consequently the term ghost poster.
A lot of times the movie wants to create a filmography that doesnt exist,
or dont want to pay the royalties to show a group of posters.
Normally these posters are not available on the market.
When they are, they are very expensive since only a couple were made,
and then these posters actually fall under the category of movie props.

In a few cases, such as with Who Framed Roger Rabbit,
four of these "ghost" posters were actually released to the
public. While these are NOT legitimate theatre art because they did not
represent an actual movie, they are considered a "limited edition"
and therefore collectible.
