LAMP ANNOUNCEMENTS
Based on the very positive response we have gotten from the various poster shows we have attended regarding LAMP publications, we are pleased to announce THREE MORE PUBLICATIONS to be released over the next six months.
Here is a breakdown:
BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT #1
US Movie Studio Production Codes - This book is for press still dealers and collectors. We have never emphasized stills on LAMP but there have been a large number of stills dealers and collectors at the conventions and shows. This book will have articles on how the film process works and the importance of stills. The Production Codes are used to help in the identification of unknown stills. We have 13 studios that we will give a brief history of the studio, show how they marked their stills and list all of the production codes that we have for each studio.

BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT #2
International Movie Poster Collecting - LAMP's Collecting International Movie Posters presents a closer look at the film industry in major countries outside of the U.S., from the viewpoint of the poster collectors. It will look at the history of cinema in each country, firsts in their movie industry, markings on their posters, etc. This book will be approximately 400 pages and go a lot more indepth on each country.

BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT #3
The NSS Story - This book will follow the rise and fall of National Screen Service. Included will be court battles with the Independent Poster Exchanges, their distribution and how they worked. ALSO INCLUDED will be a FREE DVD of the 1967 16 minute trailer called 'The NSS Story."

HERITAGE AUCTION BREAKS MORE RECORDS
Congratulations to Grey and his staff for another record setting auction. Heritage Auction Galleries set a new world record for its recent auction of Vintage Movie Posters, besting its previously held world record by more than $100,000. The latest auction, held July 20 & 21 in Dallas, Texas, realized $2,159,299 for 1,258 lots. Heritage's previous Vintage Movie Poster auction, held in March 2007, the first auction of vintage movie posters to break the $2 million mark, realized $2,021,459. Unshredded Nostalgia, New Jersey’s only metropolitan-style poster gallery, announces its next poster gallery exhibit titled “Movies That Make You Scream.” It will open to the public Saturday October 6th thru January 10th 2008. This will be their Fourth Annual Horror and Sci-Fi Exhibit.
