NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE POSTER
AND ACCESSORY NUMBER LOG

ADVANCE SALE BEGINS TODAY - 25% OFF RETAIL PRICE
plus NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE TRAILER

The National Screen Service Poster and Accessories Number Log publication covers 50 years of NSS poster and accessory numbers from their beginning with the numbering of posters and assessories in 1940 until their change in numbering systems in 1989. This publication was created from the NSS work logs, and reflects what NSS distributed AND what they PRINTED for other distributors, literally giving a blueprint of the US film industry for over 50 years. It's a combination of three different sources making it one of the most accurate and reliable single sources ever compiled on NSS.

This publication is ideal for anyone needing or wanting research or documentation during this time period. You WILL NOT FIND a more complete reference tool on NSS numbers. This publication gives the NSS number (of course by year); title; distributor; plus marks reissues and additional NSS codes compiled from their records. There is also a source code to be able to identify where the information came from.

As an added bonus, we are including a copy of the 16-minute trailer released in 1967 by National Screen Service entitled "The NSS Story." This trailer was shown to only film exhibitors (not the general public) on a limited basis.

The book is scheduled for release in January, 2010 - this will be LAMP's ninth book and will mark LAMP's ninth anniversary online.
Retail price will be $40.00 plus shipping.

For a limited time only, we will be accepting advance orders for this new publication at a 25% savings. ACT NOW TO GET TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS PRE-PUBLICATION OFFER!

NATIONAL SCREEN SERVICE POSTER
AND ACCESSORY NUMBER LOG

LAST CALL - ADVERTISING DEADLINE ENDS NOVEMBER 30TH

Time is running out for anyone wanting to advertise in the upcoming National Screen Service Poster and Accessory Log. This publication will feature 50 years of NSS numbers, including the number, the film title, the film's distributor and the information source. The retail price will be $40 and it is scheduled for January release to coincide with the 9th Anniversary of LAMP. It will be offered for sale on LAMP, through its dealers and suppliers and on Amazon.

This book has already garnered a lot of interest from not only movie poster collectors and dealers, but from academic institutions, libraries and film museums. Our research books, such as our Movie Studio Production Code publications, are made available in public forums for use as a research tools. Many of our sales come from individuals who had seen our books at places like the Margaret Herrick Library, the Library of Congress, the Danish Film Instititute, the Smithsonian, George Eastman House, Harvard University, the University of Texas, 20th Century Fox, Essanay Museum, Bison Archives, LucasFilms Archive, etc. We expect the National Screen Service publication to prove to be even more popular at these establishments. And unlike the other reference books, this will be the ONLY NSS Number publication that we will release.

DEALERS AND SERVICE COMPANIES PAY ATTENTION!! From now until November 30th, we are accepting ads from movie poster related businesses. So if you are a dealer, business, charity or whatever, here is your opportunity to be in the National Screen Service book that will be around and highly used for many many years. We do NOT plan to release any updated versions... THIS IS IT! Here is the ad information.

ROYALTY WITHIN OUR LAMP FAMILY

While we believe that LAMP sponsors and dealers represent the "royalty" in our great hobby, we now have proof - just look to the image on the right. While many of you might notice a slight resemblance to Terry Pearson of Quadbod, he is actually none other than King Caractacus. Well, at least he's the king through January 3rd!

Terry will be out-of-pocket for the next two months starring in a "Giant Family Pantomine" production of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Towngate Theatre, Basildon from December 3 - January 3, 2010. For more information on the production, click HERE. And since we all LOVE posters, the full size poster featuring Terry is HERE.

And to coin a phrase from Mel Brooks in History of the World Part I -- “It’s good to be the king!”

TUTORIALS

Our archive is SO large and complex that there are literally THOUSANDS of variable sorts that can be performed to find ALL TYPES of information. This is BY FAR, the MOST COMPLEX AND UNIQUE archive on the internet. We are building this extremely complex system to give YOU access to information that you can't find ANYWHERE ELSE.

We have prepared 4 tutorials to show you HOW to utilize our archive better. Now, unfortunately, because of have to see writing on the pages, we have to use a SLOW loading program so it doesn't lose the video quality. It takes 2 to 3 minutes to load a video. So I placed all 4 on the same page so they will all be loading at the same time, so once you view the first video, the others are immediately available.
