European
Russia is the mass of Russian land west of the Ural
Mountains. It
is not a separate country, but rather called European
Russia because of its political and cultural blending
with European countries and peoples.
St.
Petersburg and Moscow, (the capital) are located in
European Russia but the entire country is (geographically)
still considered a part of Asia.
The
Russian Federation - spread over all climate zones (except
tropical) - is the world's largest country, with land
that stretches halfway around the planet.
Russian
poster sizes are issued in a very wide variety of sizes,
the most common being
16x22-23
- this is the most common smaller size but other small
sizes include 13x19, 18x26 and 21x26.
22x34
- this is the most common size and used as the one
sheet. There are also variations, some slightly smaller
20x31 & 20x32 and some larger from 25 - 28 in
width and 37 - 41 in height.
