LAMP
Because of growth, we have divided LAMP into 7 separate but interlocking websites. We hope this will allow you to see how we are expanding and make it easier for you to locate the information that you are looking for.
Each site utilizes a duel navbar system... the first navbar is for THAT particular site... the LARGER block navbar is to jump between sites. Here are the different LAMP sites:
This is our original LearnAboutMoviePosters website, we now call LAMP-Main. LAMP-Main has been sectioned off for main collecting articles, Indexing, general information and US articles. There are extra sections on this site like: Overview of the hobby, Online Quiz, Coming Attractions, Approved Online Auction list, Meet the Dealers pages and Dealer and Travel Maps. We plan to add several more such as Q&A (we already have a Framing Q&A).. an Article Archive for holding outside articles about poster collecting, and eventually a collector directory. There is an alphabetical index that links all the interlocking websites.
This is our huge open ended database that is 19 databases tied together with an additional 6 databases that are partially tied together. It was initially created as the first movie poster archive. The database is designed to hold and cross reference ANY item that can be tied to a movie title. We currently have over 112,000 world wide movie titles and over 39,000 poster images.
The database was also designed to allow reputable dealers a program that they control, attach and sell their own inventory in the database and give a direct link from individual items in the database to their website.

This site is designed to compile research information on the top 45 poster producing countries. Beside movie poster information, we are trying to compile any associated information, such as Movie History for the country, production and distribution information, artists and printer information, censorship, monetary and shipping information as well as a Dealers Travel Map with information about any movie related activities in that country.. such as exhibits, museums, location of LAMP dealers, framers, services and suppliers, etc.
This site is gathering information on movie poster artists from around the world. There are also articles on the major studio artists from the major US movie studios. We plan to add a section on animation artists and a lot more bios on the poster artists. We plan to add an area for artists exhibits and have all lists interconnected with our database. You can look up our current list under each country OR click on the world for an alphabetical list of artists and the links to their works.
This is an Interntional site where we are gathering and recreating information movie studios, printers, lithographers, distributors, pioneers, and any associated areas. Currently we have the most information on US but are rapidly filling in information from other countries. We are also compiling of NSS numbers, lithographer numbers, printers numbers and collecting studio logos through the years in this section.
This new section is a huge database especially for electronic collectors of hard to find VHS, DVDs, reel to reel, laser disc, trailers, 16mm, 35mm and any other format of film.

Our sister site for military posters that were issued during each war, with notes, stories etc. Currently, LearnAboutMilitaryPosters.com is NOT interconnected with the other LAMP sites, but we are working on an intermediate section for war movie posters that will be interlinked between all sites.
