The parish is named for Pierre Le Moyne d'Iberville, who founded the French colony of Louisiana.



Louisiana Diary - Narrator: Moore. Documentary following CORE as they change voter registration filmed and set in Plaquemine.


Bonnie and Clyde - Dir: Penn; Stars:  Beatty, Dunaway. Crime drama with some scenes set in Louisiana. Filming was shot entirely on location in Baton Rouge at the Goodwood House, St. Gabriel Prison Farm, St. Francisville and the Grace Memorial Episcopal Church in Hammond.

Hurry Sundown -Dir: Preminger; Cast: Caine, Fonda. Drama filmed in Baton Rouge, Hammond, Sunshine, St. Gabriel and St. Francisville.


Everybody's All-American (a/k/a) When I Fall in Love - Dir: Hackford; Cast:  Lange, Quaid. Romantic drama partially filmed in Baton Rouge, including Louisiana State University, Southern University Stadium, St. Francisville, Nottoway Plantation in White Castle. 


Heaven's Prisoners - Dir: Joanou; Cast: Baldwin, Lynch. Mystery thriller filmed and set in the outskirts of New Orleans, including Nottoway Plantation in White Castle.


Secret People - Documentary based on the last remaining leprosy sanatorium in Carville.


900 Women - Dir: Khadivi, Stack. Documentary filmed in St. Gabriel at the Louisiana Correctional Institute.


Strange Fruit - Dir: Schickner; Cast: Faulcon, Tolbert. Drama set in a rural Louisiana town and partially filmed in Lake Arthur, Lake Charles, Gueydan, Kaplan and White Castle.


Triumph at Carville a Tale of Leprosy in America - Dir: Wilheim. Documentary filmed in Carville.


Loss of a Teardrop Diamond - Dir: Markell; Cast: Howard, Patton. Romance drama filmed in Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville, Jackson, Nottoway Plantation in White Castle, Plaquemine and St. Francisville.

Miracle at St. Anna - Dir: Lee; Cast: Luke, Ealy. Action crime drama with some scenes filmed at White Castle.


Alligator X a/k/a Xtinction: Predator X - Dir: Valinia; Cast: Sheppard, Lyons. Horror sci-fi filmed in Baton Rouge and St. Gabriel.

King of the Strippers - Dir: Baldwin; Cast: Allen, Allen. Action filmed in Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville and Grosse Tete.


Barracuda - Dir: Oldham, Woodson; Cast: Oldham, Hinchley. Action adventure partially filmed at Plaquemine.


Give Me Your Heart - Dir: Claitor, Kember; Cast: Landry, Sheets. Short thriller partially filmed in Baton Rouge and Plaquemine.


Dinner Party - Dir: Blasingame, Coburn; Cast: Blasingame, Coburn. Short filmed in Grosse Tete.
