History
The parish was established in 1873 from land that had belonged to Bienville Parish, Claiborne Parish, Jackson Parish and Union Parish. It is named for former U.S. president Abraham Lincoln.

Catahoula - Dir: Dunn, Harveston; Cast: Coleman, Tolano. Drama thriller filmed in Choudrant, Nebo and West Monroe.

2009

Going Postal - Dir: Ramsaur; Cast: Nissen, Pierce. Short horror filmed in Ruston.

Jackson Parish - Dir: McDonald; Cast: Holloway, Griffin. Short drama partially filmed in Choudrant.

Lisa - Dir: Ramsaur; Cast: Barrios, Durrel. Short horror filmed in Ruston.

Undercover - Dir: Ramsaur; Cast: Free, Hickey. Short action thriller filmed in Ruston.

2010

Eddie Robinson: Coach, American, Legend - Dir: Benoit, Pitre; Cast:  Sylvester. Cote Blanche documentary biography short filmed in Grambling.

2014

Dakota's Summer - Dir: Armstrong; Cast: Ramm, Turman, Dechart. Drama filmed in Ruston, Benton, Keatchie and Shreveport.

2017

Intruder, The - Dir: Brame, Lunz. Cast: Brame, Brame. Short mystery partially filmed in Ruston.

Not Released Yet

Coldwell Spring - Dir: Lawrence; Cast: Lundy, Yancey. Crime drama filmed in Jonesboro, New Orleans, Ruston and Jackson parish. Filmed in 2014 but not released yet.
