SUBWAY POSTERS a/k/a
TWO SHEETS

The subway sheet (sometimes referred to as the two sheet) measures from 41 x 54 to 45x59 with the latter being the most common. They are normally printed horizontally and issued folded. Although it is sometimes referred to as the two sheet, it is not exactly twice the size of a one-sheet.

Subway sheets are printed on a thicker paper than are the one-sheets, but not as thick as a card stock. Most subway sheets contain the same artwork as the advance materials, and are almost always issued as "advances." They are most often found in subway displays. These posters can be either rolled or folded.

Subway sheets still enjoy limited use in New York and surrounding areas. They are rarely used outside of this geographic area.

AS A COLLECTIBLE

Some collectors like the subway sheet because there are fewer of them released. They are somewhat large and cumbersome, but because they are printed on a thick paper, they are more durable.
