The British 48 Sheet measures approximately 120x240
and has been used for major projects all the way back to the early years
of the industry. The 48 Sheet has been used sparingly and only in the major
cities as well. NOTICE: below we have a 48 sheet from the 1931 pressbook
for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and below that we have a 48 sheet from the 1965
      pressbook for Thunderball

Even though it's called a 48 sheet in the industry,
the measurements are based on the double crown
(20x30) as a one sheet, and it is 48 times the size of double crown. See
our explanation on size terminology on the article on Poster
      Sizes.
This is equivilent to the American 24
      sheet or billboard
In the UK, these are specially made so we have never
      seen one available.
