SONIS is one of those companies that drive poster
dealers and collectors totally NUTS!!!
Sonis was formed in 1965 and is a service company. They basically perform what ever amount of services that each different distributor needs. This is very similar to the set for S.A.C in Italy. This type of operation is completely different than in the U.S., where movie posters have a definite separation between theater material and commercial material.
They inventory and warehouse the posters, they take orders and ship the posters. If the distributor needs printing or re-printing, or any other level of help, Sonis is set up to handle it. For this reason, Sonis handles a large amount of the distributors in France.
In addition, for the distributors that approve it, they sell wholesale to shop owners and retail to individuals. They sell licensed reproductions
of US One Sheets, TV series posters, postcards, T-shirts, sweat-shirts,
caps, Calendars, frames, mugs, and masks.
This creates a very unusual situation for dealers and collectors.
