TRIVIA
This film was to be released as 2 different 3 hour films 'Caesar and Cleopatra' and 'Antony and Cleopatra'. Editting cut it down to one 4 hour film instead, cutting out almost 2 hours of footage. Shooting started in 1960 in the UK with Stephen Boyd as Marc Antony and Peter Finch as Caesar. Due to Elizabeth Taylor getting ill, delays moved the filming to Rome and replacements Burton and Harrison were inserted.
